About Critter Cabins
Our Mission
We set out to go beyond everyday wooden boxes. Working alongside wildlife biologists and habitat specialists, we designed each habitat from the ground up — perfectly suited to the behavioral needs of each species.
Every material is chosen with care. We use only Western Red Cedar — naturally non-toxic, rot-resistant, and safe even for squirrels who love to chew. Our preservatives are wildlife-safe and every finish is non-toxic throughout.
Where our designs call for windows, we use genuine glass — not plastic. Poly materials tend to darken and haze over time outdoors, obscuring the view. We want to maintain a clear window for our residents and the people who love watching them.
Every design feature — from entry hole diameter to predator baffles, ventilation slots to landing perches — is grounded in science. And every habitat is beautiful enough to be the centerpiece of your yard.
Every habitat ships pre-loaded with natural nesting and bedding materials — so your new residents can move in from day one, with no extra preparation needed on your part.
